Michael Harro Liese, founder and Managing Director, holds a Master’s degree in electrical engineering with a focus on semiconductor physics and automation technology. After successfully completing his studies, he began his career at AEG where he helped develop a power supply solution for CVD reactors at one of the world’s leading polysilicon companies. After holding various management positions, Michael Harro Liese took over AEG’s Power Supply/Power Controller Division and expanded it into a global leader. In addition to these management tasks, he was also responsible for further developing silicon-related fields with a team of specialists during his 25 years with the company. After moving on to centrotherm photovoltaics AG (a listed, world-leading company in the sector), Michael Harro Liese served as its Executive Director and CMO. Upon assuming his duties as Executive Director, he co-founded the silicon division and became the managing director of one of the top providers of turnkey silicon manufacturing plants. His continuous involvement and enhancements in the areas of photovoltaics and polysilicon enabled him to acquire a tremendous amount of international expertise in this market of the future. Numerous patents, scientific and technical papers, and presentations at international conferences testify to his considerable influence and broad network in the industry. For several years, Michael Harro Liese has been a frequent participant in delegation trips of the German Federal Government.
